Introducing: Life in the Brain Lane

Hi everyone, it’s been a while however I have been busy developing a new concept called Life in the Brain Lane which I am very excited about and wish to share with you.  Building on the Consultus2 business, I am now running workshops to help those of you who wish to consider a new way of looking at life – both personally and professionally.

Some studies show that personality traits like optimism and pessimism can affect many areas of your health and well-being. The positive thinking that typically comes with optimism is a key part of effective stress management. And effective stress management is associated with many health benefits. If you tend to be pessimistic, don’t despair — you can learn positive thinking skills.

Positive thinking often starts with self-talk. Self-talk is the endless stream of unspoken thoughts that run through your head. These automatic thoughts can be positive or negative. Some of your self-talk comes from logic and reason. Other self-talk may arise from misconceptions that you create because of lack of information.  If the thoughts that run through your head are mostly negative, your outlook on life is more likely pessimistic. If your thoughts are mostly positive, you’re likely an optimist — someone who practices positive thinking.

Which one are you?

No one really understands how or why a positive attitude helps people recover faster from surgery or cope better with serious diseases such as cancer and heart disease.  But mounting evidence suggests that these effects may have something to do with the mind’s power over the immune system.

Remember that even if you can’t change the circumstances of your life, you can change your attitude!

Life in the Brain Lane is the vehicle to get you thinking positively even when times are tough, and my workshops are full of great ideas, case studies and exercises to get you started in transforming your life as you start to attract better things into your life just by thinking more positive thoughts.

I will tell you many stories of success where people have done amazing things just by ‘changing their mind’.

I hope you will join me on this great adventure as we kick off a pilot workshop on Tuesday 9 December 2014 in partnership with our friends Ollie and Brad downstairs in the coffee shop.  The discounted price of $60 will include coffee, snack and an hour of me giving you some good information and ideas.  We are booking up fast as numbers are limited, so call us on 9355 4466 to book in or email me at: all@consultus2.com.au

If you can’t make it this time, we have a full schedule for next year starting in February.  I look forward to catching up with you soon.

Hope all is well with you and your dear ones.

Colette
